What’s New For 2021 AHIP Certifications?

To achieve the most success selling insurance, and provide the best possible service to your clients, you need to understand both the nuances of Medicare and the insurance industry.

That’s why most insurers require their agents to complete American Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) certifications before they can sell their insurance products. Insurers want to make sure agents aren’t just knowledgeable, but also compliant.

AHIP certification is the industry standard for agent training. Insurance agents who are up-to-date in their AHIP certifications have the most current information about Medicare and private insurance—both of which are known for frequent changes in coverage and regulations.

The latest AHIP certification for Medicare began on June 22. Here’s what’s new about this year’s training.

Review Questions

AHIP has included a few questions at the end of each training module as a study tool. They’ll help you better gauge which areas to focus on before completing the final exam.

Navigation and FAQs

The structure of the exam has changed with the addition of more streamlined topic headings to better organize each training module. These topic headings will help you identify individual portions of the training.

And AHIP will be adding a FAQ page to their website to help trainees. The FAQ will address the most common questions about the AHIP certifications.
