Actionable tips
For a successful AEP 2020 season, build your reputation on being an organized professional
Your early AEP preparation puts you in an engaged frame of mind and ready to sell. Clients, their caregivers, and family members want to feel confident that they’ve chosen the right agent to help them navigate their insurance needs. You’ll appear professional and prepared if you:
1) Complete your AHIP and carrier certifications early. You must complete your certifications if you want to sell during AEP 2020.
Getting started on your certifications and recertifications now will put you in an engaged frame of mind for the upcoming season. The new information will prepare and inspire you to interact with clients as a genuine professional—someone helpful and knowledgeable, and serious about their business.
2) Nurture new and existing clients. Staying in touch year-round with clients is critical to growing your business. This is the perfect time to revisit how you’ll reach out to clients and boost your business growth.
In addition to sending out annual thank you notes and birthday cards, your plan should include sending out your AEP letters. The more often you show up in a helpful and positive way, the more likely clients will remember you during AEP.
3) Get active online. More than ever, your digital presence matters. Your clients are online, and they expect you to show up in their email inbox and on Facebook.
Now is the perfect time to revisit your online marketing plan, including getting your website done or updated, as well as working on your Facebook and LinkedIn business pages.
